A newly established and rapidly growing company faced significant challenges in managing its HR functions, including compliance, efficiency, and employee engagement. With no internal HR department or suitable employment documentation in place, the company sought assistance from Unitas. Through an extensive HR assessment, Unitas identified areas for improvement and devised multiple initiatives to enhance the overall HR function.
CHALLENGE:
A newly established and fast-growing company had no internal HR function or appropriate employment documentation in place with the administrative components of HR handled by multiple team members. The group had concerns with compliance, efficiency, and employee engagement.
SOLUTION
Unitas conducted an HR assessment to review current organizational practices and HR related documentation to identify areas for improvement. By comparing the current structures in place to the desired outcomes and compliance considerations, Unitas was able to identify multiple initiatives to improve the overall HR function and minimize liability. One key component was the implementation of a benefits program that met the needs of the employees. Unitas compared benefit brokers for senior leadership and coordinated with the selected broker to ensure compliant benefit plans were implemented and administrative processes were established.
RESULTS
The company was able to reduce liability and save hundreds of thousands in potential fines and penalties. Internal HR administrative staff was established, with an efficient process implemented to ensure continued compliance with benefit plan requirements and legal considerations.
Key measures included the implementation of a customized benefits program and the establishment of internal HR administrative staff. These changes resulted in substantial cost savings, reduced liability, and the implementation of efficient processes that ensured ongoing compliance and legal considerations.
